1. Purpose

This document consolidates institutional disclosures provided to current and prospective learners, in line with consumer-protection expectations of the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education and (upon Title IV certification) the U.S. Department of Education.

2. Authorization Status

Neponset University is incorporated in Massachusetts as a non-profit institution. Neponset is currently pursuing degree-granting authority from the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education under 610 CMR 2.00 and accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). At this time:

Neponset does not have Massachusetts degree-granting authority.

Neponset is not accredited.

Neponset does not award degrees. All credentials are non-degree certificates.

Credits earned at Neponset are not guaranteed to transfer to other institutions.

These disclosures are provided to all prospective learners before any enrollment commitment is made and are repeated in every Neponset catalog, application, and enrollment agreement.

3. Cost of Attendance

Neponset is tuition-free. A single fee applies: a $200 course registration fee per course. The fee is fully waivable for learners with documented financial need. Neponset does not charge tuition, room, board, or technology fees, and does not require any additional purchases.

4. Refund Policy

See the separate Refund Policy. In summary: the course registration fee is refundable in full if the course is dropped within fourteen (14) calendar days of the module start; no refunds are issued after the drop period.

5. Outcomes

Beginning with the first complete academic year, Neponset will publish annually:

Total active learners.

Course completion rates.

Certificates awarded.

Demographic composition of the learner population (in aggregate).

Notable employer or institutional placements (with consent).

Until the first full year is complete, Neponset will mark these fields as “not yet available.” No projected outcomes are presented as actual outcomes.

6. Faculty

Neponset’s instructors are paid adjunct faculty holding terminal degrees or recognized professional credentials in their teaching field. The current faculty roster, with credentials, is available at neponset.co/faculty.

7. Governance

Neponset is governed by a Board of Trustees. The current roster, biographies, and bylaws summary are available on request from hello@neponset.co.

8. Complaints

See the Grievance & Appeals Procedure for internal processes and external complaint channels (Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, Massachusetts Attorney General).
