1. Add Period

Learners may add a course during the first seven (7) calendar days of the 8-week module without penalty. After the seventh day, no new enrollments are accepted in that module.

2. Drop Period (No Record)

Learners may drop a course during the first fourteen (14) calendar days of the 8-week module. A dropped course does not appear on the academic transcript. The course registration fee is refunded in full.

3. Withdrawal Period

From day fifteen (15) through day forty-two (42) of the module, a learner may withdraw from a course. The course appears on the transcript with a grade of W. The course registration fee is non-refundable during this period.

4. After the Withdrawal Deadline

After day forty-two (42), withdrawal is not permitted except in extraordinary documented circumstances (medical emergency, military deployment, family emergency). Such requests must be submitted in writing to the Office of Academic Affairs.

5. Administrative Withdrawal

Neponset may administratively withdraw a learner who has been inactive for twenty-one (21) consecutive days. The learner is notified in writing prior to the withdrawal taking effect.

6. Effect on Academic Standing

Excessive withdrawals (defined as more than fifty percent of attempted credits in a term) may affect academic standing under the Grading & Academic Standing Policy and may affect financial aid eligibility once Neponset is Title IV certified.
